Writing Process: Stage Two 02/07/2011

Today we have learned about the second stage of The Writing Process,
which emphasizes about writing the controlling idea and organizing
and developing support. In the process of writing the controlling idea,
you must support your focus to highlight your intentions towards your
subject. In other words, an effective controlling statement, such as a
topic sentence, should develop an interesting subject and a well-defined
focus. This will not only stress the importance of your main idea but
it will evade any broad and vague supporting information that may result
in an ineffective indistinct statement.
